The University of Ottawa Public Relations Association (uOPRA), founded in 2012, was established by PR students who wanted to fill the void in the uOttawa public relations community. With ambition, the founders of uOPRA sought to increase the academic, professional, and volunteer opportunities for students in public relations by bringing students practical work experience and networking opportunities.
uOPRA gives students experience in media relations, social media management, event planning and management, promotion, branding, content creation, and more. It is the perfect tool for students looking to gain knowledge and experience in the field and get ahead in their careers.
The executive team oversees the learning, networking, external and internal communications, and financial aspects of uOPRA. Member positions include: Bloggers, Editors, Event Production Team, Promotion Team, Sponsorship, Media Relations, and Academic Liaisons.
